As part of The African Federation’s ongoing series on neo-colonialism, the TAF Cameroon Chapter will host a powerful panel discussion exploring how colonial influence continues to shape the nation’s governance structures, long after independence.

With insights from Rodrigue Monti Eya (Representative for TAF Governance, TAF Cameroon) and Jean de Dieu Anoubissi (Country Chapter Head, TAF Cameroon), the session will dissect the enduring presence of foreign control in key sectors such as mining, finance and policy-making. Speakers will trace the historical roots of political interference, the economic dependency engineered by multinationals and the effects on citizens, ranging from public sector decay to mass brain drain.

Most critically, the panel will emphasise that change is possible. Through citizen awakening, strategic policy shifts and pan-African solidarity, Cameroon can break free from external domination. The African Federation, with its commitment to authentic African governance and regional cooperation, is the key vehicle for this transformation. This session forms part of TAF’s wider mission to confront neo-colonial systems and build new models of African leadership rooted in justice, history and self-determination.
