On 1 November 2025 at 1 PM WAT, The African Federation (TAF) Nigeria Chapter, in partnership with TAF Economy Focus Unit, will host a national dialogue on “Strengthening Nigeria’s Security Architecture: The Strategic Role of Community Leaders in Promoting Peace and Economic Development.”

Moderated by Ms. Gift Erupre, TAF Nigeria’s Head of Support Units, the discussion will feature Mr. Simon Okwori (Head of Environment Rep), Mr. Igoche Sylvester Igoche (TAF Nigeria Chapter Head), and Dr. Chinedu Chukwu (West Africa Regional Head of Chapters).

This dialogue seeks to unpack how community leadership can serve as a cornerstone for peacebuilding and grassroots economic transformation. It will explore practical ways for traditional, religious, and local leaders to work with security agencies and government structures to foster early warning systems, prevent conflict, and promote sustainable development.

Through inclusive dialogue and actionable recommendations, TAF aims to strengthen Nigeria’s community-based approach to security, turning peace into a platform for prosperity.
