Strategy 2035

Strategy 2035 is the working strategy overview for The African Federation, within which we set out our provisional high level milestones for the next 12 years. By 2035, we expect to be the most influential, continent-wide, civil society organisation in Africa, with an articulated empirical vision for - and roadmap - to 2050.

By the end of 2025, we expect to have all 5 Focus Units, 28 country or nation chapters and 4 diaspora hubs operational.

By the end 2028, we expect to have 56+ country or nation chapters and 10 diaspora hubs operational, with tens of thousands of members. TAF's organisation will be fully built out and we will have established clearthought leadership in our 5 Focus Units, each with fully articulated implementable solutions to our Policy Priorities and each having started a number of practical interventions addressing on-the-ground market or community-level issues.

By the end of 2035, we expect to articulate an empirical vision for - and roadmap to - 2050. By which time, of course, Africa will be a superpower.

As President Faye assumes office at the age of 44, he becomes the youngest President in Africa. With a strong Africanist orientation and commitment to country and economic sovereignty, the new President promises to foster economic growth, create much needed jobs and ensure sustainable prosperity for all. We trust that his administration will place the interests of Senegal’s citizens at the heart of his agenda. We recognise the importance of the development and we urge President Faye to honour his mandate, to remain defiantly anti-imperialist,to serve the many rather than the few - and to change history.
