Meet the organisation breaking the imperial spell on Africa

What Africa needs is a continent-wide system of civil leadership - an organisation rather than a movement. An organisation, true to the ideals of pan-Africanism. An organisation that creates, plans, projects and protects unity - amplifies and reconciles our authentic voice, and ensures that we are heard. An organisation that holds political leaders to account, that demands the respect we deserve on the world stage, that develops and implements sustainable strategies to unite, empower and benefit all Africans. An organisation that will act as a catalytic system for change, harnessing the passion and restoring the pride that will inspire and enable measurable, sustainable progress towards our manifest destiny.

Our theme for the month of April is
Africa's Mineral Resources

Continuing our exploration into "Africa's Mineral Resources," we have expanded our TAF Policy Paper. We introduce two additional sections that explore the distribution of benefits from mineral extraction activities and examine the challenges confronting the mining sector. Through these discussions, we aim to shed light on the disparities within communities and regions, ranging from regulatory hurdles and environmental concerns among others.

Africa's Mineral Resources

This TAF Policy Paper aims to explore and emphasise the immense significance of the mineral resources found throughout Africa. Through collaborative efforts, we can enhance our comprehension of Africa's mineral wealth, ensuring that a wide range of viewpoints are taken into account. Together, we can produce a document that highlights the abundance and significance of our shared mineral resources.

Strategy 2035

Strategy 2035 is the working strategy overview for The African Federation. By 2035, we expect to be the most influential, continent-wide, civil society organisation in Africa, with a clear roadmap & mandate from our Assembly of ordinary Africans from across our 56+ country chapters: restore the unity, prosperity and sovereignty of African countries and bring about the changes they wish to see... so that by 2050, Africa is a superpower.

One critical element of this will be developing detailed, integrated, credible, transformative policies and initiatives - benefiting the many rather than the few - through our five Focus Units: TAF Governance, TAF Economy, TAF Environment, TAF Narrative and TAF Wellness. Our Focus Units will manufacture unity by linking Africans from across 56+ Chapters to one another by active involvement in the work of policy & initiative development - thereby building bridges, mutual understanding & unity. With the authority of those same & other Members from across the continent, TAF and our Focus Units will have become 'THE mandated muscle' to hold political 'leaders' to account on each others' behalf and then to deliver change.

Building and maintaining a strong working relationship between our chapters, Members and Focus Units, therefore, is a cornerstone of our strategy.
