Our theme for the month of April is
Africa's Mineral Resources

Expanding upon our ongoing exploration of 'Africa's Mineral Resources,' we introduce two additional dimensions to our TAF Policy Paper. We examine the dynamics of foreign exploitation and resource governance, shedding light on issues of sovereignty, transparency, and equitable resource distribution. Additionally, we uncover opportunities for development and growth within the mining sector, identifying pathways for sustainable economic advancement, technology integration, and community empowerment. These insights contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding African mineral resources, offering valuable perspectives for informed policy-making and strategic interventions.

Africa's Mineral Resources

This TAF Policy Paper aims to explore and emphasise the immense significance of the mineral resources found throughout Africa. Through collaborative efforts, we can enhance our comprehension of Africa's mineral wealth, ensuring that a wide range of viewpoints are taken into account. Together, we can produce a document that highlights the abundance and significance of our shared mineral resources.

Strategy 2035 - Members

Between 2028 and 2035, we expect to have become the most influential civil society organisation in Africa, with a clear mandate from our Assembly: restore the unity, prosperity and sovereignty of African countries so that by 2050, Africa is a superpower.

The most important element in this will be our Members, who affiliate with one of TAF's 56+ country and nation chapters and associate with one or more of our 5 Focus Units. Our Members will make TAF the most influential civil society organisation in Africa and our 5 Focus Units the clear thought-leaders in their fields. They will elect representatives for our Assembly, hold vested political & business interests to account on each others' behalf and recruit other Members. Critically, members from across the continent will be pro-actively engaged together in policy development, endorsement & advocacy at our 5 central Focus Units, building bridges, developing mutual understanding and manufacturing unity.

Chapters' role in building and maintaining a strong working relationship between our Members and our Focus Units, therefore, is a cornerstone of our strategy.
