Why TAF is Needed

The idea of inter-African cooperation and Pan Africanism is long over due. What has not yet been successfully answered is how we will achieve it. This TAF global virtual event titled "Why is TAF Needed" focuses on the solution, a global organisation which aims to redeem our continent and reinstate the sovereignty for Africa’s people. To know more about TAF, visit the TAF Website

Our theme for the month of May is
Why TAF is Needed

Continuing our exploration on "Why TAF is Needed", this week we examine the obstacles that hinder progress within the continent. Identifying these key barriers will help us understand the complexities and challenges that must be addressed to realise Africa's full potential and achieve unity.

We also take a closer look at the structure and organisation of TAF. Understanding the framework and strategic approach of TAF will shed light on how we aim to drive and sustain meaningful progress across Africa.

Why TAF is Needed

This month's Policy Paper will solidify the reason why TAF is needed. Join us in this collaborative endeavour as we define why TAF is not just an idea, but a crucial instrument for shaping Africa's destiny.

Visit the TAF Online Community to read what we have gathered so far and add your comments or tell us what is missing.

Thought Leadership - TAF Narrative

By 2028, TAF will be a globally recognised pan African Thought Leader, with 30 thousand Members from 56+ Chapters participating in the solution-based policy development activity of one (or more) of our 5 Focus Units: manufacturing unity, policy credibility and organisational capacity to hold vested interests to account.

Within our 5 Focus Units, TAF Narrative will develop policies for authentic narratives for unity. Its broad scope of pan African advocacy is: our history, culture & potential; with an emphasis on Africans amplifying our own stories and purposeful communication for stronger & clearer pan-African mentality and objectives.

TAF Assembly Call for Volunteers

Our Assembly is the highest governance organ of TAF. Its principal role is to ensure that TAF remains true to the Pan-African spirit, principles and objectives of our charter, reflecting the voice of African people in our strategy and objectives and to hold our Cabinet and Executive to account for TAF's plans and progress. Since inception, TAF has been operating our Interim Assembly, overseen by our Interim Speaker. Having made considerable operational progress, TAF now wishes to expand the number of Assembly Members, in order to extend the effectiveness of our Assembly and to strengthen our institutional governance.

The Speaker of the TAF Assembly has issued a call for nominations and volunteers to join the ranks of Assembly Membership. Subject to selection and the TAF onboarding process, applications are open to any Members and non-Members who are aligned with TAF's Vision & Mission. For more information read the full Call for volunteers.

Peter Eyamu

Peter Eyamu is the Country Chapter Head of TAF Uganda Chapter. Chapter governance includes a similarly structured Assembly, Cabinet & Executive Committee and a Focus Unit organisation. Peter oversees all processes of carrying out and developing our Focus Unit muscle in every country in Africa.
