Our theme for the month of June is
Silencing the Guns

June ushers in a critical topic for The African Federation (TAF): Silencing the Guns. We will be addressing the pervasive conflicts and violence that plague our continent, obstructing our path to peace and prosperity.

TAF is committed to fostering a peaceful and secure Africa. Now is the time to confront these challenges head-on and work towards a conflict free continent.

This month's Policy Paper will solidify the reasons why the guns must be silenced. Join us in this collaborative endeavor as we define why the chorus of peace, unity and harmony must rise to ensure a better and more prosperous future for Africans.

Thought Leadership - TAF Environment

By 2028, TAF will be a globally recognised pan African Thought Leader, with 30 thousand Members from 56+ Chapters participating in the solution-based policy development activity of one (or more) of our 5 Focus Units: manufacturing unity, policy credibility and organisational capacity to hold vested interests to account.

Within our 5 Focus Units, TAF Environment will develop policies for a flourishing environment for prosperity and will launch in the coming weeks. Its broad scope of pan African advocacy is: our abundant natural world as affected by human activity; with an emphasis on protection & equitable exploitation of indigenous natural resources, for productive sustainability.

Dr Chinedu Chukwu from Nigeria, is the Regional Head of Chapters for West Africa at The African Federation. He is responsible for chapter development in West Africa. By 2050 Africa will be a superpower, for the many rather than the few.

TAF Focus Units continue to seek volunteers for their Heads of Research, Engagement, Communication and Support Units. Visit the Volunteer page on the TAF website for details and to apply.

Head of Research & Policy: Responsible for research-driven implementable-policy development, policy prioritisation, research integrity & quality, inter-Focus Unit research & policy coordination and thought leadership. Requires relevant policy-sector experience.

Head of Engagement: Responsible for impactful delivery of external engagement with & through policy development & implementation stakeholders (including members & partners and TAF commercial business models), inter-Focus Unit engagement coordination and thought leadership. Requires relevant, but not specific policy-sector, experience.

Head of Communications: Responsible for internal & external communications (incl. brand, strategy & execution) for the Focus Unit and intra-TAF coordination. Requires relevant, but not specific policy-sector, experience.

Head of Support Unit: Responsible for strategic & operational finance, governance & controls, legal and HR. Requires relevant, but not specific policy-sector, experience.

Deputy CEO: Responsible for coordination & prioritisation of leadership team & unit activities. Requires organisation or large team management experience.
