What Africa needs is a continent-wide system of civil leadership - an organisation rather than a movement. An organisation, true to the ideals of pan-Africanism. An organisation that creates, plans, projects and protects unity - amplifies and reconciles our authentic voice, and ensures that we are heard. An organisation that holds political leaders to account, that demands the respect we deserve on the world stage, that develops and implements sustainable strategies to unite, empower and benefit all Africans. An organisation that will act as a catalytic system for change, harnessing the passion and restoring the pride that will inspire and enable measurable, sustainable progress towards our manifest destiny. Our Principles - Reach Out to Build Bridges

We are intentional in reaching out to build bridges for the advancement of our vision and mission. All that we do as Africans must move us closer towards the reunification of The African Federation, a united African nation unrestrained, uncompromised and undivided; for we know that the splinters and splitting of our lands was imposed upon us only to bring conflict and weaken us. Through bridge building we shall not be subject to the exploits of those that want what belongs to us. As African people, we are not against people of foreign origin living in or out of our Africa, contributing to Africa’s development, so long as they do so without violating the laws of our lands and in compliance with our pan-African principles.

If you haven't already done so, register with the African Federation on our website. There is no cost to register. You can also choose your Focus Unit and Chapter or manage your Profile, Photo, Biography on the TAF online community once you have registered.

TAF Focus Units continue to seek volunteers for their Heads of Research, Engagement, Communication and Support Units. Visit the Volunteer page on the TAF website for details and to apply.

Head of Research & Policy: Responsible for research-driven implementable-policy development, policy prioritisation, research integrity & quality, inter-Focus Unit research & policy coordination and thought leadership. Requires relevant policy-sector experience.

Head of Engagement: Responsible for impactful delivery of external engagement with & through policy development & implementation stakeholders (including members & partners and TAF commercial business models), inter-Focus Unit engagement coordination and thought leadership. Requires relevant, but not specific policy-sector, experience.

Head of Communications: Responsible for internal & external communications (incl. brand, strategy & execution) for the Focus Unit and intra-TAF coordination. Requires relevant, but not specific policy-sector, experience.

Head of Support Unit: Responsible for strategic & operational finance, governance & controls, legal and HR. Requires relevant, but not specific policy-sector, experience.

Deputy CEO: Responsible for coordination & prioritisation of leadership team & unit activities. Requires organisation or large team management experience.

We are inspired by our common values, principles, and an ideology that promotes inter-African cooperation and pan Africanism.
