Our theme for the month of February is
African Voices

Help to develop the TAF Policy Paper on African Voices. Your perspective on the challenges and triumphs define our collective experiences and can shape a narrative that truly reflects the African continent. By commenting on what we post about the topic, or engaging in discussions, you amplify voices that are often unheard.

African Voices

This TAF Policy Paper will foster unity, celebrate diversity, and highlight all that is African. Your involvement will not only elevate the quality of the document but also reinforce the spirit of collaboration that defines our Pan-African ethos. As we come together, we share our stories and contribute to a narrative that truly encapsulates the essence of the African voice. Together we can create a document that resonates with the richness of our collective identity.

Why Focus Units are critical to the TAF Mission

In restoring the unity, prosperity and sovereignty of African countries, one critical element will be - in due course - developing detailed, credible, transformative policy changes and practical initiatives which will serve to benefit the many, rather than the few. In future and on behalf of the many, The African Federation will develop substantive thought leadership across the entire spectrum of human endeavour through our five Focus Units: TAF Governance, TAF Economy, TAF Environment, TAF Narrative and TAF Wellness.

These Focus Units will be 'engines of unity', linking Africans from across our 56+ Country Chapter Membership to one another - building bridges, understanding, respect and appreciation - in the regular work of policy and initiative development. With the endorsement of our policies and initiatives by those same Members from across the continent, our Focus Units will become the 'muscles' for the changes ordinary Africans can then expect. Steadily building five strong Focus Units whose policy positions are supported by our Members in every country and nation in Africa, therefore, is a cornerstone of our strategy.

By 2028, we aim to ensure that TAF's credibility as the catalyst for change will have been fully established. In January, we started executing this element of our strategy, as TAF Narrative was soft launched. By the end of 2025, we aim to have all five Focus Units operational. For more information about our Focus Units please contact support@theafricanfederation.org

Over coming weeks, we begin executing this element of our strategy, beginning with the soft launch of the TAF Uganda Chapter this week, with the Kenya Chapter later this month and with South Africa following in March. For more information about starting a chapter, please contact tafchapters@theafricanfederation.org

The African Federation is dedicated to addressing the critical challenges facing our continent and fostering meaningful dialogue around pressing issues. In the month of March, we will turn our focus to a question that lies at the heart of Africa's future, "Can Africa feed itself?" With a rapidly growing population, changing climate patterns, and evolving global dynamics, the issue of food security has become more urgent than ever. Join the conversation during the March 9th Twitter space.
