The Botswana Chapter of The African Federation (TAF) is envisioned as a crucial entity dedicated to supporting and advancing TAF's operations within the context of Botswana. This chapter is strategically positioned to play a pivotal role in bringing TAF's overarching vision and mission to fruition within the Botswana community.
Our Vision
The full restoration of a vibrant, united and prosperous Africa.
Our Mission
To champion unity and prosperity for the African continent by promoting sustainable and authentic systems of governance, economy, wellness, environment, health and narrative and the full restoration of sovereignty for future generations.
With a set of well-defined objectives, the Botswana Chapter aims to actively contribute to the realisation of TAF's mission:
Membership Engagement and Growth
The chapter will focus on fostering active participation and increasing TAF membership within Botswana. This objective ensures a diverse and engaged representation of Botswana people within the organisation.
Promotion of TAF's Vision and Mission
A key responsibility of the Botswana Chapter is to act as a conduit for promoting TAF's vision and mission within the Botswana community. This involves emphasising the core values of unity, prosperity and the establishment of sustainable systems.
Consolidation of Voices, Particularly Youth
The chapter is committed to amplifying the voices of ordinary Botswana people, with a specific emphasis on the youth demographic. This objective aims to ensure that the perspectives of the youth are heard and considered in shaping TAF's initiatives.
Identification of Sustainable Systems
Exploring and identifying sustainable and authentic systems of governance, economy, wellness, environment, health and narrative will be a focal point. The chapter will tailor its efforts to address the unique needs and circumstances of the Botswana context.
Championing Unity and Prosperity
Botswana Chapter will advocate for initiatives that contribute to the unity and prosperity of the African continent. These initiatives will be aligned with and adapted to Botswana's specific circumstances.
Holding Others Accountable
A significant objective of the Botswana Chapter is to develop mechanisms within TAF Botswana to hold local leaders and systems accountable. This includes ensuring transparency and adherence to TAF's principles at the local level.
The Botswana Chapter will be led by a Leadership Team responsible for the strategic direction, decision-making, and coordination of chapter activities. The Executive Committee will work alongside the Leadership Team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring alignment with TAF's global objectives. The Chapter Head, accountable to the Global Head of Country Chapters, will manage the day-to-day affairs of the chapter. Members, individuals in Botswana affiliating with the Botswana Chapter, will actively contribute to and benefit from the activities and initiatives led by TAF within the country.
During its soft launch, the Botswana Chapter will focus on establishing a robust foundation, building relationships with potential members, and initiating discussions around TAF's vision and mission. This initial phase is crucial for laying the groundwork for a more comprehensive and impactful role in advancing TAF's objectives within Botswana.
