As global systems shift and the colonial scaffolding continues to shape Africa's political, economic and cultural realities, it is more urgent than ever to ask: What does it truly mean to decolonise? And how do we begin? How do we restore the sovereignty of Africa to become a superpower by 2050 for the many rather than the few?
Join us this Saturday, 12 July, for a powerful X Space conversation under the theme:
"Reclaiming Africa: Building a Decolonised Future Together."
This pan-African dialogue will bring together members of TAF’s Executive Committee to unpack the frameworks, strategies and ideological work required to reclaim Africa’s future from within.
Featured Speakers:
Elisabeth Valerio: CEO, The African Federation
Teresa Muliro: Global Head of Focus Units
Allan Lusalalira: Deputy CEO, TAF Wellness
Peter Eyamu: Global Head of Chapters
Chinedu Chukwu: Regional Head of Chapters, West Africa
Together, they will explore:
- How colonial legacies are embedded in today’s governance, education, media, and economic systems
- What a decolonised Africa looks like, structurally and ideologically
- The role of pan-African leadership, citizen agency, and youth mobilisation in dismantling these systems
- The responsibility of Africans, on the continent and in the diaspora, to reclaim narrative and power
- This will be more than a conversation, it will be a call to build intentionally, reclaim boldly, and unite purposefully.
